My First Mobile App - Memoque

My First Mobile App - Memoque
Mobile app development has been an area I’ve been interested in since high school. I was doing it with React Native, but my real goal was to work with native languages. With the mobile app I’ve been working on for a while, I’ve finally achieved that goal.
Wanting alone isn’t enough; what matters is how much effort you put into what you truly desire. And once you achieve it, what you feel is a sense of accomplishment.
Learning English vocabulary has always been very difficult for me. After discovering my preferred learning style, I began to learn hundreds of words within a few days. In a short time, I had acquired enough vocabulary to express myself and started speaking. My approach wasn’t “read a book and look up meanings” or “watch a movie and check every new word.” Instead, I sat down and wrote every unknown word and its definition on small flash cards (front and back) and learned them that way.
I thought, ‘Why don’t I turn this into a mobile app and digitize it?’ That’s how Memoque was born. Taking it one step further, I added ready-made word lists to make learning even easier, and it turned out really well.
In short, Memoque shows you that by spending 10 minutes a day, either adding your own words or using ready-made lists. You’ll learn many words in just a few days. Its flash-card design lets you double-tap to see a word’s meaning. After you’ve learned it, just swipe to test yourself on the next word. Finished all the cards? Great, shuffle the list and start again. Because the order changes each time, you really remember what you learn. For now, the app will launch as an MVP. In later versions, we plan to add a few more AI-powered features to make it even easier, simpler, and more useful.

I’ve shared the whole process as #buildinpublic on my X (Twitter) account. If you’re curious, you can follow me there and read my past updates.
