Egypt - Cairo, Aswan, Luxor (Part 2)
After a long time, I finally found time to write. I shared the first article of the series in November. I will talk about the remaining 5 days in this series. We will see the different lines of 3 cities in this article and it will be a long article. I recommend you to grab your coffee/tea.

Day 6

Normally, we were planning to start the museum tour yesterday, but since we did not have time, we woke up early today and started our museum tours.
Our first stop was the Grand Egyptian Museum, which is next to the pyramids and has just opened. The works and drawings we saw attracted our attention and we examined them with admiration. Since this was the first museum we visited in Egypt, it seemed quite different. It takes hours to visit here. We were quite tired after finishing our visit. After sitting in a cafe in the museum and having a coffee, we went to our next museum.
Our second stop is the Egyptian Museum. We saw a mummy here for the first time. This was generally the place that attracted the most attention from visitors. The next stop is a special room that belonged to Tutankhamun. When you visit these places, you try to imagine what it was like and imagine what it was like back then. I think this is one of the beautiful aspects of visiting a museum.
Our next stops were the Garbage City and we went to Saint Simon Monastery. We came to the Al-Hakimi Mosque and then to the Zar Ritual, a local ritual. Today was interesting and tiring. Because every place we visited every 3 hours was different and you can have very strange experiences. In the evening, we had dinner at a restaurant right next to the Nile River and finished the day.

Day 7

We flew to Aswan early in the morning. Today, we came to our hotel with a beautiful view and left our luggage. After chatting with the hotel owner, we went to Philae Temple. We had a great time examining the wall carvings in this temple.
Then we went to Nubian Village and walked around a neighborhood with colorful houses and examined local products. We also had the opportunity to see, touch and even hold a crocodile for the first time here.
You can see a crocodile in almost every house because they believe that keeping a crocodile at home brings luck. They are very hospitable and invite you to their homes and let you see the crocodiles.
Then we went to the city center and finished the day on the felucca. We spent about 1 hour here and relieved the tiredness of the day here. It was a beautiful end to the day with a unique sunset.

Day 8

Today is our last day in Aswan. We got ready to go to Abu Simbel early in the morning. We went almost to the border of Egypt and drove a long way. Our hotel owner helped us a lot with transportation. We had a comfortable journey this way.
We saw the huge structures we saw in Abu Simbel and couldn't believe our eyes. A beautiful show of strength... After spending a few hours, we headed to Luxor. But before that, we had dinner at a restaurant belonging to a hotel. I think it was one of the best restaurants I've ever seen with the best presentation and attention. You can reach it from the Tripadvisor link.
We arrived in Luxor towards evening and went to our hotel and put our things away. After a short tour of the center, we went to a hookah cafe and evaluated the day and chatted.

Day 9

As our first stop in the morning, we went to a breakfast place near the Valley of the Kings to have breakfast. Afterwards, we went directly to the Valley of the Kings. This place was much more tiring than we expected because you have to walk between the cemeteries and when you enter the tomb, you have to go up and down a lot of stairs. After going to a few cemeteries, we didn't want to go to the next ones. Also, you pay a separate fee for Tutankhamun's cemetery and you can see his mummy.
Then we went to the Hatshepsut Temple. This place was worse than I expected. It may only look interesting from the outside, but after climbing all those stairs, there is not much to look at. So it was a bit disappointing.
From here, we visited the Karnak, Ramesses III and Khonsu Temples in the city center. We overheard the guides in some tourist groups and also learned some historical information. Since it was the last days of our Egypt trip, the things we saw were not that interesting anymore and we got used to it. So we skipped some places.
Afterwards we went to Hurghada. Our return flight will be from here. We stayed the night and took a plane the next day to return to Türkiye.

It was a trip that was full for us, where we saw different cultures, learned interesting historical information and as we always say, it was an 'experience'. Afterwards, I felt a nice tiredness. Because witnessing a culture you don't know and a flow you are not used to tired me out nicely.
If you are interested, I pinned it on Google Maps. You can reach Google Maps from here.
With regards, peace..
