On Creating a Morning Routine
I haven't been able to spend much time outside of work for a few days. Even though I have things I want to do, I find things to do at the end of the day to pass the time. This makes me quite unhappy. That's why I want to put an end to this and get myself in order. Actually, this is just one of the reasons. The weight gain problem that comes with it, the joint pains due to being inactive, waking up tired... and a few more items.
I want to put an end to all of this and create a nice routine for myself. I want to add movement and sports to my life, and also make time for the things I want and make them happen. I know that I have to make some sacrifices here. I want to give up most of this, especially some console games, from sleep. I need to get used to getting by with 5 or 6 hours of sleep a day. Let's talk about some of the thoughts on my mind.
  1. Waking up early in the morning. I don't have any sleep schedule right now. I go to bed whenever I feel sleepy and wake up whenever I wake up on the weekends around 10-11 am. I can't say that I like living such an irregular life. So I took the first step to regulate my sleep hours and set my morning alarm for 06:00. I normally wake up without an alarm and I like waking up this way. I never liked waking up with an alarm and I don't like it. At first I will need this alarm and I will force it but I am sure that after a few weeks I will not need this alarm and I will wake up on my own. I don't think about a bedtime. I will probably get tired over time and my bedtime will be shaped accordingly. So I didn't set a rule for this.
  2. Walking and running regularly. I don't have any upper or lower limits for this right now. I want to start slowly at first and adapt it to my life. I don't want to make it mandatory for myself to do it every day. If possible, I want to do this in the mornings after it gets light. I want to be exposed to the cold a little bit and recover and get morning energy with the cold. If I can't experience the satisfaction we want in the morning, I should have completed this in the evening of that day.
  3. Increasing my meals to 3. I normally eat 2 meals a day. This is actually enough. But there is a problem here. I have breakfast around 11-12 and I eat dinner around 7 on average. Since I am very hungry in the 7 hours in between, I eat dinner too much. Since there is no movement afterwards, I am left alone with bloating and the fatigue does not go away until the morning. After my morning walk or run, I want to start the first meal of the day with a simple breakfast plate. This can sometimes be a cup of coffee with yogurt, sometimes a boiled egg. I don't have much knowledge in terms of recipes. So I hope to gain new gains over time.
  4. Taking a maximum 1 hour nap at noon. I usually spend my lunch breaks at the company playing games or watching something. In fact, I get up from the computer and sit in front of the TV. I go from screen to screen. When this happens, I can't clear my head and I can't rest. I think I'll need an afternoon nap since I'll be reducing my sleep hours. It will give me the energy I need and I'll get what I need. A maximum afternoon nap of no more than 1 hour will be good.
  5. Sharing the things I do daily as content. I like taking photos and blogging. I can easily say that taking photos is easier for me. But I can't find the motivation to take photos for this. I want to overcome this a little and get into the habit of taking photos and videos daily. In this way, I will try to take photos or videos without thinking too much and share them on my social media accounts. Actually, I've been too engrossed in daily vlog shootings lately and I'm interested in them, but I think shooting videos, especially shooting myself, isn't really my thing. In addition, I want to increase the blog posts and enrich the blog with content at least once a week.
These are the things I have in mind at the moment. I am sure that I will update this article in the future. Because I am writing this article at around 23:44 on Sunday and I will take the first step tomorrow. I dream of being here with richer content in the next article.
Actually, I thought about starting a challenge and going according to it, but this does not provide me with the motivation I need. So I want to solve this within myself and cover a certain distance. After a certain period of time, I can start new challenges to make a difference.
All these are what I have in mind. I do not know how much I can comply with these or how logical decisions they will be. We will see all of them in time, but all I want is to create a certain routine and put my life on the path of being healthier.
